The art up top reflects the NYC drill scene particularly in the Bronx in 2021. Kay Flock's hit track "Is Ya Ready" was released in August 16, 2021 from his album The D.OA. Tape, and I posted this cartoon exactly 2 years after the release date. I intended to show the expressions and the realities of the growing up in New York's unrested inner-city areas referenced from the music video. My drawing was able to reach Kay Flock's management @Banks Management and received his like. The song really set the tone for that summer in NYC and made huge impact Kay Flock's rap career, as well as NYC's drill culture. Up to today, "Is Ya Ready" sits at over 111 million views on YouTube and is one of the most iconic drill songs of NYC.
